| I MIGHT be getting a T2i for photography and video. I need quite a bit of space considering I self film and I don't tend to land everything first go. I'm used to using 60minute miniDV tapes for my other camcorder. What sd card do you recommend for me to use video with? I will want to do some 60fps shots. | |

| I got you dude
this is what you want: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/712659-REG/Transcend_TS32GSDHC10_32GB_SDHC_Card.html
not as expensive as a SanDisk...but just as good! never fails. don't get anything under like class 6 for video, i got one of these 32gig cards and I only have filled it up completely once when I shot for a day and a half on and off without dumping it. you could also get something smaller if you don't think you'll need 32gigs, or a few if you think you need more. some people say it's better to get a bunch of littler ones like 16gig ones but whatever, i just got one 32 and that's all i need for now
good luck! | |

| Is there anyway to get the camera to automatically create a new file every 5 minutes or something? Because I hate the fact that if it takes me 8 tries to land a trick and I have to keep that file just because I've landed that 1 trick. | |

| ya i know that's an awesome option on some sony cameras but i don't think canon's caught on to that yet... there is a firmware hack for the t2i that allows you to do some really sweet stuff tho, i haven't looked into it too much because i don't have that camera, but you should if you get it. it's called Magic Lantern | |

| On my canon hf m31 if you film over i think it is 5 or 10 minutes it splits the files. Why dont u get like a remote or just walk over and push stop? | |

| well the feature i was talking about that my friends sony camera has (not sure what model) but it allows you to press record to save the last 10-15 seconds. so you film in this mode for example attempt 1-fall attempt 2-fall attempt 3-fall attempt 4-land, and after they land the trick you hit the record button. then it takes a second, but it remembers the last 10-15 seconds that the camera saw, so at the end of the day you only have the tricks you want. documentary filmmakers also use it, like national geographic will set up cameras an wait days on this mode for a whale or something to come up out of the surface of the ocean, then after it does they hit the button and they have the money shot without days worth of recording footage.
it's super sweet i wish my camera had it so bad | |
