| First assignment, here we go! Starting out very simple. Rule of ThirdsWhile one of the most basic and used techniques in photography, it is rarely acknowledged and in some cases thrown aside. Consciously using this can greatly improve your photographs, and help your composition and framing attract the viewers eyes. Specific topic rules:Fairly obvious use of rule of thirds, using lines or colors, etc. etc. Apart from that, just about everything else is up to you. Any subject matter, but seeing as this is a scooter forum you get e-points for scooter related shots. Lots of freedom in this one, so I'm expecting a lot of entries. Remember, your first entry is your final entry, and you need to take it after now. Topic closes February 27th, 2011. Go wild, and go shoot. Some ideas to help: Higher natural contrast, strong lines, colors, shapes, and a wisely chosen depth of field can help bring out the thirds you're trying to show in your shot. EDIT: A few examples of my own that, to me, are good examples of the rule of thirds. Just some inspiration to get the creative juices flowin'. | |
