Woah, never expected to see myself as somebody's inspiration. That means a lot.

I've got so many photographers I look up to.

Small selection, in no particular order.

Some of the classics:
Louis Daguerre - father of photography, and produced some awesome work.
Ansel Adams - no real explanation needed. Just all around awesome, created some absolutely stunning work. I have two 20" prints (not reproductions) of his hanging on my wall. Apparently a funny guy too.
Henri Cartier Bresson - One of the first street photographers. Used a very simplistic kit, and excelled at showing every day life.
Kevin Carter - In my opinion, one of the best photojournalists out there. He brought the tragedies to the world, most famously the riots and such of South Africa.
SebastiĆ£o Salgado too.
Others:
Sven Martin. Probably one of the best, if not the best mountain bike photographers currently. Super stylistic shots that convey emotions, landscape, and all around greatness with biking. Very appealing.
Jeff Zielinski. One of the best BMX photographers on the scene, comes up with some perfectly crafted shots, and
Nuno Oliviera. Very awesome simple, natural feel to his work.
Dan Vojtech. Makes sports shooting new and interesting, very unique.
Josef Hoflehner. Stunning black and whites, some of the best.
Ian Hylands. Very chill man, and has great sports and lifestyle photos. Really can work a camera.
Chase Jarvis. Up and coming photographer, has some very striking work out there and is making it big.
And of course, Jake O'Donnell. He's really found his style, super creative, and his work is so unique.

Highly recommend checking them all out.

Really happy that this thread got started, inspiration is always a huge factor in photography.
Here are my inspirations:

Sam Scott- Has great skill and knowledge of everything photography related. His pictures never cease to amaze me. Plus an overall chill guy.

Jake O'Donnell- Amazing creativity and I always love the tones of his shots.

Seth Rader- http://www.flickr.com/photos/sethrader/ Always finds the most interesting subjects and the simplicity of his photos are great. His portfolio has some really amazing stuff in it, helped get him into UCLA.

Aaron Smith- I love the urban scenes in all of his pictures and some of his portraits are amazing. http://www.asmith-photography.com/
