Assignments Information and Rules

Alright guys, lets get these assignments rolling.
Fellow photographer Ryan Scott puts it well on the whole assignments idea, for those of you who are confused:

I think just stating a trick to take a picture of doesn't really help us as photographers. Most of these community photo assignments tend to have that objective. What good would they be if we weren't challenging ourselves, right? Anyone can take a picture of an air, and if you know a guy who can do nothing-flairs then you've got a little bit of an advantage because your subject matter immediately makes your photos more interesting.
Why not have the topics be [scooter] related but assigned according to photographic rules and merit. For instance, maybe the first assignment would be "Rule of Thirds", where everyone obviously needs to shoot a [scooter] related photo that correctly demonstrates the rule while also creating an interesting photo.
I think Mods would be needed, but it'd be nice to have a level-headed person in charge of telling people if they "passed" or "failed" each assignment. That way those who passed can move on to the next assignment, while those who didn't pass actually learn something by being forced to get out and shoot again and come back with a winner. [Personal note: I don't think this whole pass/fail thing is good, this is for everyone to get involved and passing/failing is fairly rude and exclusive.] If everyone is respectful, it could be a great way for newcomers and beyond to learn....
...it would be a place for sharing ideas, learning and constructive criticism, and just shooting the shit about [scooter] photography and photography in general.

RULES: These apply to each and every assignment we do
One entry per poster, no bumping your shots (it won't help at all)
Photo must be taken after the topic is set, no using old photos.
Follow the topic guidelines, but be original in your own way. Make it unique, make it you.
Should be scooter related in some way, occasionally there will be topics that are more broad and will be noted as such in the title.
Topics will last for one month, at the end of the month the topic is closed, voting will commence, and the next assignment will be selected.

If any of you guys out there have other suggestions for rules, post them below and if they're good I'll add them into the original post.

Can the poster replace his photo with one that better demonstrates the topic through editing the post or is it once you post a picture you stick with it?

No, that was just an example. I just posted a 'Topic Suggestion' thread, where users can discuss and share ideas and then we'll choose one in there for the first assignment by January 31st.

Oh okay thanks Sam. I'm starting to get a little more into photography but I'll spend more time riding than taking pictures. Still I'd love to progress and participate in assignments.

When is this thing happening?

First assignment will officially start February 1st. More feedback is strongly requested for suggestions so we can have a more mutual consent, instead of a forced topic.
